OMRX 0.3.3
A native Mac workspace for coding assistants, project files, terminals and reviewed changes.
Available downloads
- Mac disk image (.dmg) — Apple silicon, macOS 14 or later.
- Mac ZIP archive — the same application with installation instructions.
- Optional Mac installation script — checks the exact release checksum and signature, then installs to your user Applications folder. Existing installations are never overwritten.
This is a locally signed development release. Apple Developer signing and notarization are still required for a public production release. See Apple’s application-opening guidance.
What changed
- The app is now called OMRX. The website, menus, companion, exports, and Mac downloads share the new name. Existing settings and saved runs remain compatible.
- The example project is now inside the application and copied to writable local storage on first use. Your edits survive later launches and updates.
- Starting another assistant no longer passes it an unrelated terminal’s open connection.
- The disk-image and ZIP downloads contain a verified application and setup instructions.
- Includes the earlier fixes for stale file reviews, saving conflicts, large terminal pastes, malformed output, stopping tasks, and pet image limits.
Setup and updates
Open the disk image and drag OMRX to Applications. Quit your existing OMRX app before replacing it. Keep a backup of the old app if you want to roll back. Project folders, preferences and saved runs are stored separately and are not removed by replacing the app.
The app does not install coding assistants or language runtimes. Configure the tools you choose in Assistants; their provider accounts, permissions and usage limits apply.
Verification and known limits
The Mac app passes 79 offline checks covering terminals, local execution, history, file review, companion settings and other core behavior. These checks do not make paid AI requests or test live dictation. Provider responses and microphone or Accessibility permission flows still need account and device testing.
Windows Setup.exe and Linux AppImage, .deb and .rpm packages are not available yet. They need a Windows/Linux application implementation, platform builds and installation testing. The website provides system information scripts only for these platforms; those scripts do not install OMRX.
Automatic app updates, unattended scheduling and cloud workers are not included. The optional keep-awake setting only helps while the app is running on an awake, powered Mac.
